Lions & Valkyries record victories as Thunder & Storm come up short

A 50/50 win-loss ratio in this weekend's indoor fixtures.

In the Havering U9 league the Lions narrowly beat neighbours Rainham by 10 runs, with the runs scored being equal the Lions won by losing less wickets in this terrier contest. The wickets were shared around with the ball, with the bat Thomas Kerin (20*) , Franklin Hambelton (16) and James Abbott (22*) scored the runs that helped get the win.

Not to be outdone the Valkyries overcame Upminster - with only 4 players - as they won by 28 runs, mainly due to only losing one wicket.
With the ball Sophie Hills lead the way with 2-12, and with the bat Maisy Marchant top scored with 25* and was well supported by Chloe Williams (17) and Sophie Hills (13*)

Sadly both U15 teams came up short.
Thunder lost to Harold Wood by 1 wicket, with the batting failing to fire the bowlers nearly performed heroics as they dismissed all but one of the oppo batters with Hayden Westerman (2-26) and Harry Fogg (2-5) making the inroads.
Storm lost to Upminster heavily to Upminster as, similarly to Thunder they failed to scored enough runs although Brayden Bowling (15) and George Battie (20*) batted well
